Ministry

The congregation of Scots, Campbellfield, meets on a Sunday morning at 9.00 am. Our worship is termed conservative and scriptural. As a Uniting Church we uphold the “Basis of Union” as our basis and direction. We use the two sacraments: Baptism and the Lord’s Supper or also termed Eucharist. For our singing we use the “Together in Song” hymn book. We have recently started to use our new audio-visual equipment for sound and projection.

COME AND JOIN US ANY TIME.

On some Sundays we hold a combined worship service with the linked congregation of Greenvale. Then we meet either at Scots or at Greenvale. The times and places of combined services are posted on the entrance door of the church.

Our minister is the Rev Dr John Vander Reest. He has been with us since July 2012. He works part time and takes care of the worship services and provides pastoral care. Presently he also chairs our church council, which meets monthly.

The minister and church are available for baptisms, weddings and funerals.

We also have a hall that can be used and hired for special purposes. To make further inquiries phone Mrs Val Williams on 9357 8551.

Our minister is also a hobby artist and last year – with his fiftieth anniversary of his ordination – had a solo exhibition in the hall, which raised money for the Lentara Refugee program.
